Who Are We?

Hi, I’m Emily Schwartz, CPDT-KA and K9 Coach, thanks for checking out my website!

You might be asking, what is a K9 Coach? The simple answer is a teacher.

I am here to help people have less stressful, more rewarding, and an overall deeper understanding and bond with their dog.

While I am a dog trainer for my own dogs, and help folks train their dogs, I got into this work because I truly enjoy helping people. I love dogs, but my passion is helping people learn about their dogs.

Whether you take one of my classes, come to a seminar, or have a private one-on-one consultation, my goal is to help YOU. I am not here to give everyone the same rigorous training schedule (though daily consistency is key!) but rather listen to you about your dog, your life, your home environment, and where changes are desired.

It’s my job to come back to you with realistic modifications that can be made for you and your dog, and how to integrate them. Consider it life coaching for dog owners!

I am currently a trainer at Digging Dogs located in Painesville, OH where I teach adolescent manners, beginner obedience, Canine Good Citizen, Community Canine, and Nose Work. I spend 6-9 hours a week working with virtual clients for a company called the Elite Dog Club. I am a certified CGC evaluator and AKC Level I Fit Coach.
